Professional Experience

As a user experience designer, my goal is to create intuitive end-to-end experiences through human-centered solutions. I approach design with empathy, curiosity, and a focus on fostering a positive feedback culture.

Currently at Amica Insurance, I work on an agile team, collaborating cross-functionally with product management, engineering, design, and research. I utilize methods such as user interviews and data analysis to understand user needs and address pain points.

My 5+ years of UI/UX and product design experience and 10+ years of graphic design expertise, allows me to craft usable solutions that are also visually appealing.

Accessibility

From color contrast checking, to using a clear heading structure for screen readers, I believe it’s our responsibility as designers to create inclusive design work that adheres to WCAG best practices.

Design Systems

I'm passionate about implementing & refining Design Systems, with experience helping teams re-platform to Figma.

At Amica: I spearheaded building out the component library and assisted with educating the team on Figma best practices for creating reusable components.

At SecZetta: Paired with a lead, we starting with a bare bones component library, and built out interactive states for reusable components and a page/file structure for the design work.

 

Design tools

Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), and Zeplin.

The Fun Stuff

When not designing, I love summers in New England and enjoy swimming, boating, and kayaking. I'm also passionate about animals, and enjoy spending time with my husky mix and a very fluffy cat. Additionally, I volunteer as a puppy foster to help dogs find their forever homes.
